This woman is INSANE

I'm sorry ya'll have had to listen to me complain about my MIL, but I can't help but share what came in the mail with all of my bloggy friends (A quick hello to my new follower :D I'm up to 23!!)

It's all crumpled because the hubs balled it up & hid it in the garbage. He was livid, and he didnt want me to cry if I read it... PLEASE! She is NOT worth my tears. I dont give two sh*ts what this lady thinks of me.

"Just do me a favor before you decide to have kids, make sure the one you have now grows up."
This line irked the heck out of me... But honestly, I was pissed for all of 30 seconds, and then I had to laugh about it. I'm the one who acts like a 6 year old?! She writes a letter like this & expect him to say "Okay mom, I'll wait to have children with my wife because you don't think she's grown up enough." Not that I even want to have kids for 2 more years, but still, I dont need someone telling me when we should have kids, nor do I need anyone's okay before we make the decision.

I was NOT mean to her while she was here. I held my tongue when I should have told her off. I let her tell me that we should wait to have kids (something she tells me every chance she gets) "until we're sure this marriage will work" and didnt tell her where to shove it. I played hostess to her for 5 days before the hubs came home, and I shared his first weekend home after a YEAR in Iraq with her without telling her to get the eff out of our house... and for what? For her to go home and write this sneaky little note to him? Did she think I wasnt going to see it?

It's not my fault she has a terrible relationship with her son. Maybe if she didnt act like such a loon, then maybe they would be closer, but after this letter he told her to piss off, and lose our numbers. Good ridden! The people that matter most, his grandparents, are 100% on our sides in this one, and told her she's nutso too.

And yes b*tch, I would like some CHEESE with my wine! Bring on the Mascato please :P

I'm sorry I've been a bad blogger...

...BUT, hubs didn't have to go to airborne school after all. We drove all over the place getting his packing list together like I had said in the last post, and while we were out he got a call from Toyota stating that they would really like to put him in a new truck, and that they'd get him a good deal... and while this sounded like a load of crap, we figured we'd check it out. (I'll let you in on a little secret... hubs bought a Cadillac Deville right out of AIT with 18% APR because he's not the smartest when it comes to money/credit, so I was jumping for joy at the thought of getting rid of that car!!)

Of course he picked out the 47K lifted Tundra... of course! I flat out told him if he could keep his payments under $____ then he could have it (which of course that sales lady managed to do)... well come to find out that banks do not recognize lift kits when they finance vehicles, so to be able to get that truck, he would have had to put 12K down on it to cover the "improvements." That was a big heck no! So with some number crunching they worked it out so that he could still get rims & all terrain tires included in the price of the truck, just no lift kit. Plus since I have insanely good credit, they had me be the "buyer" and him be the "co-signer" so that we'll only have to pat 4.74% APR. GO ME :D Now he is the VERY proud owner of a 2010 Toyota Tundra... and what does said owner do with his new toy?! Well let me tell you ladies... he gets said 35K truck stuck in a GIANT MUDHOLE.... Typical!

(**Here is the pretty new truck trapped in the mud up to the doors... I of course had to jump out the WINDOW & document this, so I could rub it in his face later. He wouldnt let me post these pics on facebook & embarrass him, so I am posting it here for all of my bloggy friends to be able to laugh at! If your truck/car is ever stuck in a mud hole, remember to NOT turn off the engine... if you do it will get waterlocked & you will need to buy a new one!!)

Thankfully there was a guy with a Tacoma (a much smaller toyota truck) fishing a few yards down the road, so he came to our rescue, and after the two of them dug a drainage ditch to get some of the water out, we realized that the frame of the truck was hung up on the dirt b/c the tracks were so deep, and his tires were aimlessly spinning. Ughhh!! With a lot of yanking by the nice man & his Tacoma, we finally got the truck out of the hole, and it has it's first official dent! grrrr...

We then proceeded to spend the weekend up each others butts & with some of his battle buddies, since it was the first without Satan being here... The rest of this week has been busy, busy with meeting with my friend Crystal (who needs more followers, add her so you can see her B-E-A-U-TIFUL pictures... including one of yours truly, well my legs at least, in a polka-dotted dress!) @ Perfectly Imperfect & trying to run errands. This is my LAST OFFICIAL WEEK of summer vacation. I feel sad that I wished it all away wanting Steven home, but I'm glad he's home, even if it means I have to go back to work. It's going to be another eventful year, as always, so stay tuned for some 5th grade shenanigans coming soon!

Such a tease

We found out last night when he got home from work that he is off to Airborne School at Ft Benning on Thursday. Awesome... so that means since his mother was here all weekend, we won't have one whole day alone together before he leaves. He was supposed to be on 1/2 days, but so far he's been home at the usual time, or slightly before it.

Right now we're going through his packing list and writing down what he needs, which is a lot because most of his stuff is still locked in the conex in tuff boxes being as he hasn't even been home a week yet... including one pair of combat boots, which my milspouse followers know are expensive... and having to pay for them, when he has them already, sucks!

Oh how I love Army life... NOT!

Thursday at 06:00, I would greatly appreciate it if you would take your time getting here. I'd really like to keep him a little longer. I just got him back :(

Update: Weekend from h*ll

If you've been keeping up with my blog, you'll know that by hubs finally came home from the big sandbox across the sea on Friday evening... which I am thankful for... but aside from him being home, it was the worst weekend I've had in a very long time.

Annoyance #1: As you can see from my previous posts, Steven's mother was here. This woman is the most annoying person I have ever met in my entire life, and if she told me how to run my house one more time, I was probably going to kill her... seriously. Once he got home it got to be 100 times worse. She followed him around everywhere, trying to pit us against each other. Granted, it's her son, and I know that mothers miss their sons and all... but they DO NOT have a good relationship. He tolerates her a little more than I do, but by no means does he enjoy her company. But she doesnt see this, (or chooses to ignore it) because she wants to be up his butt. There was a reason he lived with his grandparents for a good portion of his life. Thankfully, I love them to pieces... They don't even really care for her, and she's their daughter. They chose Steven over her every time.

I yelled at her on Saturday because my dog was loose in the yard, and I asked her not to go out there because it would only make it worse. She huffed & puffed like a little kid into the spare bedroom & sat there trying to make everyone feel sorry for her. Sorry, but no one did. Now that we have the title of the boat, she's never to be invited back again.

Annoyance #2: they're repaving my road, and I now have a nice big crack in my windshield thanks to a run-away rock. And of course the guy couldnt get out here soon enough to repair it before it spread, so I now have to replace it. Awesome! This makes it all the more tempting for me to trade my car in like I've been saying I want to do.

Annoyance #3: Dixie, our pitbull has been slowly chewing on the support beam of our platform bed since she was a puppy... well, I guess the added weight of having Steven in the bed was enough to send us crashing to the floor... and while it was hysterical at the time being, I was left with a huge lump on the back of my head from falling under the ridiculously heavy headboard, a pile of wood chips to clean up, and spending the first night with Steven home with the mattress on the floor. Ughhhhh! Yesterday we went out and picked out a new bedframe which is a really pretty cherry, but we can't pick it up until we find someone with a truck since Steven wont have his truck until we go to Michigan at the end of the month to trade in his Cadillac which is in storage at his grandparents.

Annoyance #4: Bees & spiders have taken over my yard in the past 24 hours. Thankfully, my hubs is on bug patrol, and he got a few different sprays to save me from the little creepy crawlers.

Annoyance #5: We were told that $400 we were getting for sitting in that terrible workshop was not coming to us in this paycheck as promised. Because someone's vacation was more important, there were 500 pissed off teachers. I mean, who dicks around with $200,000?! So now, we wont get it until the end of August (hopefully), since we only get paid once a month (super lame!).

Annoyance #6: the worst one of all... Steven is in Alpha Btry but he deployed with Bravo... well that meant that I was falling under a new FRG leader. I got 3-4 emails from the new FRG lady asking for my contact info since I would be receiving updates from her, not the old one. I dutifully replied to all of them, and come Friday night around 6:30-7:00, I get a phone call from Steven on his cellphone, not his skype phone number?! He was at green ramp wondering why I wasnt there. I felt HORRIBLE since this is his first tour in the middle east (but not his first overseas since he was in Korea for a year) and no-one was waiting for him when he got off the plane. However, he came home with over 400 guys, and a lot of them didnt even get a chance to find their family in the 15 minutes they got before they had to go turn in their weapons, so I might not have even had a chance to see him, but it still really upset me. My friend Crystal had graciously offered to take some homecoming pictures for us (Check her out at Perfectly Imperfect... she just started a blog and needs some followers) but that is Army life I suppose... nothing goes as planned. I am sure we will have many more homecomings over the next 15 or so years before he retires.

At least he's HOME (well, right now he's at work, but he's in the states!!)... and that's all that really matters... It made this weekend tolerable. Without him home, I would have gone insane for sure... but now he's home, and safe... and my heart is whole once again. He even brought home a bootleg copy of Eclipse for me... I know, I know... I have the greatest hubs ever, and no, you can not share him. lol. Just kidding :)
