Dr. Doggie M.D.

I posted last week about how my littlest youngest furrchild had his little nuts snipped last week. The vet didnt give him a cone, which was a-okay in my book, because that meant I didnt have to constantly supervise him so that the other 3 furrchildren weren't trying to rip it off of his head.

Well, I caught him licking where he should not have been licking, so I took a peek to see if maybe it was getting infected, only to find out that Rebel must have snuck off to doggie medical school, because he had removed all of his stitches! Doh! Thankfully it was only a few days earlier than the vet had recommended, and he did a swell job, so I guess he saved me from having to pay the vet for another visit.

On a side note: I brought the little booger in last Thursday for his Snip Snip procedure. On Friday, I picked him up after taking two other furrkiddos in for booster shots. When I checked out, the sweet lady at the counter informed me that I'd saved $79.50 for bringing three of them in at once. What?! I'm not complaining about saving all that cash, but since when did the vet's office start taking after my insurance company? Multi-policy discount... Multi-pet discount... same thing, right? Guess I'll be bringing them in to the vet in multiples from now on to save some loot! lol

3 Dollar-4th of July Wreath

What you need:
Wreath-$1 Dollar Tree (or if you can't find one, you could always cut a circle out of cardboard)
Lei's-$1 Dollar Tree (I bought TWO 3-packs so I would be sure to have enough. I used 5 of the 6)
Hot Glue Gun

Cut the Lei's apart

Fold each flower into quarters

Hot glue them around the wreath however you'd like!

Hang up and enjoy :)

So simple! (but a little time consuming... I spent an episode of PLL and half of whatever came on next gluing)

EDIT: Since I've gotten such sweet comments, I've decided to link it and share it further :)

Dear Hubs, thanks for the heart attack!

Received at 8:58pm from hubster: engine went out on the plane

No more text messages

Heart attack setting in

Phone rings at 10:13pm. They made it safely to the ground, and will now have to be bused to the field where they will be shooting off very loud artillery rounds all night.

How do milspouses not all have high blood pressure and grey hair?

Sooo HOT and Soooo NOT!

I came across THIS POST by Jennifer at Crazy Shenanigans and I thought it would be super fun to show y'all my list. I've linked back to Jennifer a few times, but if y'all havent taken the hint yet, you should go check her out. She was one of the first people to comment on my blog, and I will be forever grateful to her for making me feel like I wasnt typing away to no one. She's a sweety, and I love that she does TONS AND TONS of movie reviews. It reminds me of old movies I forgot that I love, and introduces me to new ones. I've definitely checked out quite a few new movies based on her reviews :)

Without further ado: My HOT list:

1. Wentworth Miller
Hands down, without a doubt, if I was going to cheat on my husband with another man, it would have to be this sexy creature. Yum, yum, and more yum. I watched prison break religiously bc I can't get enough of his sexiness!

2. Paul Walker
Do I really need to eleborate? Abs, check! Blue eyes, check! Complete and utter hotness, double check!

3. Hayden Christensen
Love the way he talks, and he's an amazing actor

4. Liam Hemsworth
He may be a little younger ::cough:: 5 years ::cough:: but he's still a total hottie. I figure if other people can drool over Taylor Lautner, I can drool over Liam. At least he's a little older than Taylor, and he's totally legal ;)

5. Kellan Lutz
I'll be a blood-sucking vampire for him any day!

Honorable mention: if I was a little older, I would totally say LL Cool J

And the 5 celebs I wouldnt touch if you paid me a million dollars

1. Marc Anthony
Beard? No beard? Still UGLY! Seriously J-Lo?! Woof!

2. Orlando Bloom
Have to agree with Jennifer, I seriously do not get how people find him hot. He seems like a total weiny to me

3. Johnny Depp
Totally brilliant actor... but total woof-woof status. He is not the least bit attractive to me

4. Kid Rock
Eww Eww Eww... I feel like I'm going to get herpes just by looking at him

5. Jack Black
Again, great actor, but WOOOOOF WOOOF!

Yay for NY!

Let me first say, that this is my blog, and I am allowed to have whatever opinion I want. So bring on the snarky comments!! Ha!

Yesterday the lovely men and women in charge of running the state of NY(my home state) voted by a slight margin to legalize gay marriage in NY. Now, I'm happily married, and I personally think being a lesbian is icky, and have no desire to do so, HOWEVER, I PERSONALLY BELIEVE that you are born gay. I don't think you decide one day that it will be a fun thing to try out (okay, some people do, but they're just seeking attention). I'm attracted to tall country boys with blue eyes and five o'clock shadows. That's what my brain tells me I like, and thats what I married. I think the same thing goes for gay men and women. Their attractions aren't something they can control, it's just what they like... and if they find what they like, and want to get married, then more power to them!

Let me introduce you to my friend Matt. He's an amazing guy who I have known since kindergarten, yes kindergarten! We used to play my little ponies together (There is even a facebook group for all of us ladies who played ponies with him, and knew he was gay all along!). Growing up, a lot of people speculated that he was gay. It wasn't until our junior or senior year that he finally had the courage to admit it. And you know what, EVERYONE STILL LOVED HIM. He's just that cool. No one cared, because most of us already knew. He was even voted the prom king. Out of a class of over 500 kids, that's pretty bad ass. Who went to school with a bunch of homophobes? NOT ME :)

Yep, I'm biting his nipple

We love fireworks

Us with my PIC (who I have talked about on here before). The cups her and I are holding are our official summer drinking cups. Mine and Matts have my little ponies on them, and they all have neckties. They're covered in inside jokes and of course I still have mine :D

Tacky sweater party

Being ridiculous

Making ourselves look fab!

Luckiest dude on the planet. I think he's made out with more chicks than most straight guys. He also gets to grab boobies all the time and say "it's okay. I'm gay." lol

He's currently interning at the men's department at COACH in NYC and I couldn't be prouder. He's an awesome dude, and he deserves the best. His facebook status today: "I can legally get married now!! The next hurdle is to find someone to marry. That's even more of a challenge!"

Friday Fill In

1. Are you a different person than you were five years ago? submitted by Sisterly Thoughts
Absolutely... I graduated from college just over 4 years ago. Five years ago I was about to turn 21. I was wild and crazy, and loving life. I have definitely calmed down quite a bit since then! ha.
2. If you could go on Amazing Race, who would you take with you as your partner and why? submitted by Thoughts from a Poekitten
Love, love, love Amazing race. Although I would LOVE to experience this with the hubster, I can say with some certainty that one of us would not make it back alive. See, as much as I love him, we both have VERY hot heads, and we'd eat each other alive in a stressful environment like that. I would have to take my friend Kristi. She is a triathlete, and we have talked about how much fun it would be on the show. She's a fellow teacher, so brains + her super athletic self = my top choice for the amazing race :) BONUS: she grew up on a farm, so she'll eat pretty much anything if she has to!

This is my favorite picture of the two of us. The school we both worked for at the time did faculty volleyball games to raise money for Relay for Life. The "shorts" and leggings are actually little girl tights. We joked about how we should wear them as spankies even though they arent quite school appropriate. We ended up making these to wear instead:

3. Does Facebook or Twitter actually bring more stress or good in to your life? submitted byJust an Arizona Girl
I don't tweet, but facebook is pretty much only good for a constant stream of distraction! lol. Just kidding. It's nice to keep up with friends/see pictures from family. I moved 600+ miles from my hometown, so I don't get to keep up with people otherwise.
4. June is National Soul Food Month- what’s your soul food? submitted by NH Girl Displaced
PASTA. I like to blame the fact that I'm part Italian (part czechoslovakian) for my love affair with pasta, but really, I'm just a fattie who loves carbs. he he.
5.  If you could live in any other era than the current, which one would it be & why? submitted by Sugar in My Grits
Ooooooo tough one. Probably the 1800's in the deep south. I love the idea of being a Southern Belle even if I was born a Yankee (but shhhhhhh don't tell! I totally should have been born down here!)

No nuts! No nuts!

This little prince...

Is currently chilling at the vet's office. The vet just called to tell me he's all done with surgery, and she told me how everybody loves how awesomely sweet he is. ::blush:: Love my little man. I imagine he is giving kisses to whoever comes within range of his crazy self.

We were thankful enough to get him neutered before he started lifting his leg, so he will be a prissy little squatter like our other man. He he.
